Our 'Taster' workshops are great events for those looking to dip their toes into foraging for the first time, maybe even for those who aren’t even sure if foraging is for them yet. This is a good session for those on a budget looking to join in, that can be good for entertaining a whole family, but engaging enough to inspire even the most hardened bushcrafters, chefs or amateur foragers.
Duration: 2 hours
What to expect: A short walk, usually 1km-2km, in a green space finding, identifying and tasting a number of edible wild species and any poisonous lookalikes we may find. Small tasters of preserves may be handed out, but most species on these sessions can be tasted on directly from the hedgerow. Depending on the season and venue, you can expect to find 10-20 species in this short, sharp session.
Locations: We understand that you might have reservations about buying a voucher for an experience without all of our dates being available. However, we can confirm that in 2026 we will be hosting this type of event in Cumbria, Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, London, Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex, Northamptonshire, Hampshire, Shropshire, Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire, Avon/Bristol, Staffordshire, Somerset, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire with potential extra dates popping up in Essex, Norfolk, Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Suffolk and South Wales. We do have several other workshop formats happening elsewhere in the country, so we recommend you check them out if you aren't near these locations!
You do not need to buy a voucher if you are attending a session yourself - simply book on whichever workshop takes your fancy!

Did you know? Our printed paper vouchers are made from recycled industrial waste. We aim to be as low-impact as possible, so this feels like a better solution compared with more traditional sources of printing material.
Vouchers issued as a physical printed card are dispatched on a twice-weekly basis. All voucher fees include printing and packaging, so you can rest assured that your loved ones will not have to pay any hidden fees when redeeming their voucher codes. All of our vouchers can be used for any of our events.
To redeem a voucher, please browse our workshops page to find a date that works for you, then simply enter your voucher code at checkout when you book. All workshop details can be found on each workshop page, and our full Terms and Conditions are on our booking site. Please note that our vouchers are non-refundable and, although an event transfer may be possible to another date in some instances, they should be used wisely with good planning.
PLEASE NOTE: Any 2025 vouchers are only valid until the end of 2026 and must be used by then.
Christmas Delivery Info: We dispatch orders every Tuesday and Friday. The deadline for delivery in time for Christmas is 3pm on Friday 19th December - orders made after this date will be dispatched on Tuesday 30th December at the earliest.
