Forage For Everyone

Helping more people discover the joy of foraging, whatever their financial circumstances.

Foraging is a wonderful way to connect with nature, discover new foods and learn skills that can last a lifetime. But the cost of attending a workshop can put it beyond the reach of some people.

Forage for Everyone is a Forage Box initiative that helps people who would otherwise struggle to afford a workshop experience the world of foraging.
About funded places

Why Forage for Everyone exists

Foraging teaches practical skills you can use for life: how to recognise wild plants and fungi safely, how to pick responsibly, and how to turn what you find into something good to eat. It is also a simple way to spend time outdoors and get to know the places around you.

Workshops cost money to run, and for some people that cost is what stands in the way. Forage for Everyone exists so that more people can take part, whatever their financial circumstances.

How it works

Forage for Everyone is funded by Forage Box. To begin with, the money comes from our annual foraging calendar.

1

£2.50 from every calendar

For every annual Forage Box calendar sold, £2.50 is set aside for Forage for Everyone.

2

Funded workshop places

That money pays for places on eligible Forage Box workshops for people who would otherwise struggle to afford one.

3

Room to grow

We hope to add other sources of funding over time, such as contributions from product sales or partnerships with other organisations. None of these are in place yet.

Our current calendar is the 2027 Foraging Calendar.

Funded workshop places

Funded places are for people who would love to come on a Forage Box workshop but would otherwise struggle to afford it.

Application details coming soon

We are still finalising how funded places will work, including who can apply, how places are allocated, where they are available and how to apply. We will publish the details on this page once they are agreed.

If you would like to ask about funded places in the meantime, please get in touch.
